Virtual Art Gallery

Students – take a bow! Families and Friends – take a look at the wonderful artwork our Wilburton Wolves submitted for the Reflections Art Program! Please tune in on Tuesday Dec 8th at 5:30pm where this virtual art gallery will be featured during the Wilburton Newsletter Live.

Kids who do art can boost their self-esteem, gain a sense of control over their life, and provide a safe outlet for big emotions.

Wilburton Entry Deadline:
Monday, November 9th, 2020

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life!

Encourage your child to participate in the Reflections Arts Program!

How to Participate

Decide what type of art you want to create.

There are 6 categories. You can enter 1 or more categories, so if you want to paint a picture, go for it! Or if you want to compose a piece of music AND take a photo - the sky is the limit!

Think about this year’s theme: “I Matter Because...”

How will you express the theme in your art? When the judges look at your work, the most important thing they will consider is how well it connects to the theme! You will write an artist statement that shows how your work connects to the theme.

Read all the rules! Fill out an entry form

The rules for each category and the Wilburton specific entry form can be found using the links below.

Reflections Rules

Wilburton Entry Form

Please note: 3D art will not be accepted this year

Create art on your own with no help from parents or caregivers.

This is your child's chance to shine – let them wow you without your help. Students must write the artist statement them-selves, or if they are too young to write, it should be in their own, sometimes imperfect, words.

Submission Deadline is Monday November 9th, 20202

Because we aren't in the school building, turning in art submissions will be different this year.

  1. Please be sure to double-check the rules for the category your student is submitting. Be sure their work meets all guidelines on size, format, length and other relevant category rules before submitting.

  2. Please let your student do the work completely ON THEIR OWN. Resist the urge to help them - even on little details.

  1. On or before November 9th, please email to submit your student's completed signed submission form and a photo or file that includes their completed work. This is how you "turn in" their work.

  2. You may scan the artwork or photo if size allows, or here is a short video with some tips on photographing artwork.

  3. The Entry Form must be signed by both the student and a caregiver. Artists statement must be in the student's own words even if it is imperfect!

  4. If you have any questions or problems with submissions we can find a solution together, so please be sure to email and we will help you!
